Some gatherings feel less like an event and more like a coming together of ideas, experiences, and purpose. The Awaaz Leadership Labs (ALL) workshop at aikyam space was exactly that—a space where passionate young minds working in the legal space explored the intersections of justice, inclusion, climate consciousness, and legal innovation.
Each, carrying their own unique journeys—some working in grassroots legal aid, others making legal education accessible, and many re-imagining how law can play a role in climate justice. What united them was a shared vision: to create a more just, inclusive world.

The Magic in The Details
The workshop hummed with energy from dawn till dusk. Morning sessions flowed into afternoon discussions, which then transformed into heartfelt conversations over steaming cups of coffee as the evening settled in. Ideas weren't just exchanged—they were built upon, challenged, and nurtured. Shemeer’s brainstorming sessions kept participants interested.
Amidst all the thinking, people kept themselves going with coffee breaks and snacks. The lunch was the highlight that most of them really enjoyed. The tasty Kerala-style food prepared by Jasentha chechi made them regain their lost energies.
The three days went by quickly, but the special moments were the conversations that they had post the sessions and reading through the books from the library at aikyam space. They even gifted a few books to the library!
The Hands And Hearts That Made It Possible
Every gathering has its invisible architecture, people whose care and attention create the container for magic to happen.
Shemeer led the facilitation inviting everyone to bring their whole intent into the sessions. Alongside him, Abhiram co-facilitated, while Sumi, Jinso, Anjani, Megha worked behind the scenes. And huge thanks to Rohit who put together the people, and who himself was a participant and made this event a happy and enjoyable one.

We're especially grateful to Arundhathi and Sruthin, who generously shared their time and wisdom, adding rich layers of perspective to the discussions. Arundhathi shared about how she conceptualised and created Kerala’s largest women's hackathon. Sruthin shared his journey of being a change maker, a story that resonated with many of the participants.
