A child draws a house with a yellow door. Another paints a fish bigger than the pond it is in. Someone fills an entire page with rainbows, because why stop at one rainbow when you can draw so many? Creative boldness is best seen among Children!
The show is called Made with HeART, and the artists are all children.
What's Happening
The exhibition brings together artworks by children from across Kochi. But it's not just about looking at what's on the walls. There are three things you can do:
Explore the artworks by children. Createyour own art at hands-on stations set up around the space. And, Tryclay modelling and calligraphy - guided, beginner-friendly, open to all ages.
Entry is free. You don't need to register.
Walk in anytime between 10 AM and 5 PM.
Who's Behind It
Olimalar Foundation is hosting the event as part of their LifSkool programme, which focuses on children's learning through creative engagement. Their work focuses on education and community projects for young people.
The venue, aikyam space, is in the Mattancherry area - a short walk or auto ride from Fort Kochi if you're already in the neighbourhood for the Biennale or other events.
Why This Is Worth a Visit
Kochi has no shortage of art exhibitions. But most of them are made by adults, for adults. This one flips that. The children here aren't learning art theory or colour wheels. They're drawing what they see, what they imagine, and what makes them happy. That rawness shows.
Creative Boldness in Action! The Talking Hand
There's something useful about standing in front of a painting made by someone who hasn't yet learned to second-guess themselves.

Like a flower reaching for light, every child deserves the chance to bloom. Through Olimalar Foundation, a small team in Kochi is empowering children with the confidence, emotional strength, and life skills to shine both in school and beyond.
