Input
- What went in
- Reclaimed wood, cut-to-size recyclable acrylic sheets and recyclable foam backing sheets. The supplier has confirmed that both sheet materials are recyclable.
- Outside help
- Mr. Jacob is the carpenter making the frames. A supplier is preparing the acrylic sheets in the required sizes.
Activity
We delivered the reclaimed wood to our carpenter, Mr. Jacob, as we prepare for the first production batch of Preamble frames. The recyclable acrylic sheets have been ordered, but cutting them to the required sizes will take two more days. They are expected to arrive together with the recyclable foam backing sheets, after which production can begin.
Outcome
The reclaimed wood has reached the carpenter. Production is awaiting the acrylic and foam backing sheets, expected in two days.
Learnings
Getting the wood to the carpenter is only one part of preparing for production. Cutting the acrylic sheets needs extra time, so material orders and delivery dates need to be coordinated before work can begin.
