The Ultimate Guide to aikyam space for April 2026
Local communities coming together to learn, practice & share their skills. Stitching, Science, Reading, Dance, Cooking, Carpentry, Up-cycling, Gardening and more.
On the night of January 25-26, 2025, something special unfolded at aikyam space. Seventeen women, most of them first-time hackers, walked into the venue, unsure of what to expect but eager to build. They left 18 hours later—not just with working projects but with a new sense of confidence, a lot of learning, community, and a love for tech.
Tink-Her-Hack 3.0 wasn’t just another hackathon. It was part of TinkerHub’s 4000-women hackathon initiative, an overnight event happening simultaneously across 60+ venues in Kerala. The mission? To create a welcoming space for women to take their first steps into tech—no coding experience required, just curiosity and enthusiasm.
At aikyam space, the energy was unmatched. From the moment participants settled in, there was a mix of nervous excitement, with some wondering, “Will I even be able to build something?” Spoiler alert: they did, and they crushed it!

With seven projects submitted by morning, every team proved that a lack of prior experience doesn’t mean a lack of creativity. The standout project? A travel companion website built by Gouri, who, as a solo participant, secured first place and earned herself a badge along with a certificate. The top three teams were also recognized for their incredible work.
From creative problem-solving to debugging under pressure, the night was full of breakthroughs. Whether it was a team struggling with a stubborn bug at 3 AM or the collective cheer when someone’s code finally ran, every moment was a testament to the spirit of learning.
Guiding the participants through their first hackathon were three mentors—Sahil, Jinso, and Abhiram—who also doubled as the judges. Their support was invaluable, whether it was helping a team evaluate the feasibility of their ideas to help in debugging or just reminding everyone to take snack breaks (because yes, debugging on an empty stomach is a recipe for disaster!).
The venue itself became a star of the event. Participants couldn’t stop talking about the aesthetics, the calming vibe, and the welcoming atmosphere. One person even wrote that they wanted to buy the place! The carefully curated environment played a huge role in making everyone feel at ease, turning the hackathon into a night of exploration rather than competition.
No hackathon is complete without unexpected fun.
As the sun rose, sleep-deprived but exhilarated participants showcased their projects. Beyond the lines of code, the real win was the confidence they had gained. From never having written a single line of code to building and presenting functional projects in just 18 hours, they had taken their first big step in tech.
Tink Her Hack 3.0 at aikyam space wasn’t just a hackathon. It was a movement—one that proved that the right environment, guidance, and a sprinkle of caffeine-fueled determination can create magic.
And for these 17 women, this was just the beginning.
